Refund policy
Try it properly, and if it is not for you, we will make it right
You are deciding whether to trust us with something irreplaceable. Here, plainly, is how refunds work at Told & Treasured, including our 30-day satisfaction guarantee and what a refund means for your archive.
A refund never deletes your stories. Paid access ends and the archive becomes read-only, and you can still play and download your original recordings.
The 30-day satisfaction guarantee
Record your first story on the Founding Family Plan. If Told & Treasured does not feel meaningful within 30 days, contact us and we will refund your first-year payment in full.
We ask only that you have actually recorded a story. The whole point is to sit together and keep a voice, so try it properly, and if it is not for you, we will make it right.
How to request a refund
Email us at hello@toldtreasured.com from the address on your account and tell us you would like a refund. That is all we need to begin.
Please do not include card numbers, passwords, recordings, or private family details in your message. We will never ask for them, and we do not need them to process a refund.
What a refund does to your access
When a refund is issued, paid access to the family archive ends and the archive becomes read-only. You can still play every story and download the original recordings.
Your original recordings are the source of truth and are never overwritten. A refund does not erase your archive; it returns it to a read-only state so nothing is lost.
Refunds on renewals
The Founding Family Plan is $99 per year, one simple annual price. The 30-day satisfaction guarantee applies to your first year of paid access.
If a renewal charge surprises you, write to us within a reasonable time and we will review it with you in good faith. If you would simply prefer not to renew, you can cancel and keep read-only access through the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refunds on gifts
A gift of Told & Treasured is $99 for one prepaid year. The purchaser and the recipient are separate people, and the prepaid year begins only when the gift is redeemed.
A gift can be refunded before it is redeemed. Once the recipient has redeemed the gift and the year has begun, it is treated like an active plan, and the 30-day satisfaction guarantee then applies from the recipient's first story.
How refunds are processed
Refunds are returned to the original payment method used for the purchase. Depending on your bank or card provider, it can take a few days for the credit to appear on your statement.
We will confirm by email once a refund has been issued, so you have a record of it.
Told & Treasured is currently in a pilot. Paid checkout runs in test mode and is shown as a coming-soon state until it is enabled, so this policy takes effect when paid plans are turned on. If you ever have a billing question, you can email us and we will help. For how cancellation and read-only access work, see our Cancellation Policy .
